Sometimes MOSES feel like the most impossible story because of all the steps forward and backwards. Even happens to many artists with their calibre. I remain hopeful. Good times and bad. Let's face it, these darker ages need all the light they can get.
As a peace-rock outfit, MOSES bring euphoria. Their inboxes prove that. 2022 has a second album up it's sleeve for release this Spring/Summer. The next step after this month's video for 'Happy Birthday Payday' was some live shows this week. For the first time in the MOSES story, the've had to postpone the start of this year's public performances. A low blow. But times are hard for so many of us right now, most of us really are all in it together.
Start Again.
Behind the scenes, the band continue getting the new LP together (track listing, artwork etc., Also considering what merchandise people would like.). On a prolific burst of creativity, MOSES are writing brand new songs. Album 3? I got a sneak peek and can't wait for these tunes to be "out there", and for MOSES to be sharing their ambitous experiences.
I'm always impressed at the lengths to which belief in music can take artists and allies alike. I know where they're coming from. To be fair, ANY musicians/grassroots venues in existence right now are special beyond belief.
The world is so traumatised by eco anxiety, inequality the pandemic and division, that the money people are even talking it into war. There's a strong unity and love side to the audience and allies who are also part of #thatbandMOSES - it's about uplifting audio medicine in people's lives.
There's no award for still existing though, so as MOSES start, then start again, things keep g(r)o(w)ing forward. For now, I will anticipate the next time I'm down the front of a gig, grinning like a giddy diddy kiddy as we sing along like a rock n roll choir (and I dance like a dad!)
