Hallo Brighton, we are in you!

As per the last post (from Birmingham), local band Fragile Creatures were a man down with Covid 19 so the day started with just MOSES and XOXO playing together at The Prince Albert.

and before the gig, soul reviving (and very much missed) sea views!

The South Coast of Sussex is an often pretty journey through the South Downs from London. After meeting some long-time-no-see friends for chats and sips in the afternoon, the plan after checking emails and messages was sight-see around the lanes and have a drink on the pier.

There was a call from MOSES, to say that now XOXO also couldn't play. They'd put out a message on their socials.

There wasn't enough time for any takers but, we'll say it again, The Show Must Go On. Many thanks to promoters, Modern Age, for sorting out the backline that MOSES couldn't bring. 

Tonight, as per the title of their latest single, MOSES really were 'Alone'.

A small audience saw what felt like a private gig and were held in raucous applause for an hour by the songs and performance. I was so proud to work with MOSES. I mean, I am anyway, but they pulled something extra out of the bag - which they are very capable of doing - and more. Alone in a league of their own.

Thank you so much to Adam Kidd of Fragile Creatures. It's a gig that we've been trying to make happen since the end of 2019. Maybe one day... Huge cheers to everybody who was there at this show.

Having made some new friends, we managed to get one of the last, non-cancelled London trains for another home-in-the-early hours finale to the evening's adventure.
