It’s fair to say that no unsigned, independent working class band’s backstory is easy but this one is more than worth following.

Especially in the post brexit climate where touring for musical artists is harder and even the necessary grassroots venue circuit are endangered/culled. Imagine 2026 if we'd not had a dozen years of Music Venue Trust? (MOSES played one of their earliest shows (in support of The Social in Central London).

Since lockdown ended, it's been an even more grave new world.

"Just do more shows!" "Just make more content!" "Just go out more!" Just contact loads of people all the time!". It's good advice, but it's not always that simple when artists are wiped out by the full time jobs that fund their talent. Many bands no longer exist. Even if they've had great profile, label etc deals and festival/big support opportunities. 

We can't lose the humanity of musicians at a time when capitalism's robots are stealing what's left of their futures. At least the bands lost had the chance to leave some recordings for posterity but seeing how many 1980s, 1990s, 2000s decades bands are living their best life it seems only fair that more potential is a gift to the economy as well as the nation's future.

An intuitive music writer recently pointed out that MOSES songs are too diverse for “the bean counters” to invest in. Hitting the nail on the head. They are not “indie-by-numbers” which can be a disadvantage with regards to packagin. Their outside of outsiders reality out when discovered.

Their back story may be more "tortoise" than "hare" but thanks to consistent support for their songs, good nature, passion and performances, MOSES are inevitable.

2025

MOSES managed to get past the self awareness realisation - "SOMETHING" - posted in October.

Their magnificent album, 'CAPITALISE this’, NEEDED to be unleashed on 5th November!

The video that visionary film maker, JJ Eringa and the band, created for ‘SUPREME’ caught the attention of rising creator's platform, Playhuman, along with the LP. An up coming, awarded and exhibited creator's platform have connected with MOSES. This belief is a boost for a band who can not stop gifting big songs to the world.

MOSES remain determined to be seen and heard despite the odds betting against them. Compulsion can feel like madness. Never under estimate the power of major song writing though, because they are still going strong. Here's to more belief.

2026

Live appearances started at Stanley Arts in Croydon at the sold out Panda Power show. New MOSES admirers were made during their set. After the event finished, locals were dancing to ‘Cause You Got Me’, courtesy of a spin by the promoter, Jean Genie who had also got the band a page for 'CAPITALISE this' in glossy tastemaker magazine, ASBO. So much appreciation.

No seriously. You don't hear MOSES played between bands, or at festivals, or in clubs! Very happy to be proved wrong.

So far they've also been heard at a boxing match in the Midlands, a pub in Stoke On Trent before the Manics gig, (the pleasure boat in London that sank in the storms - on the River Thames!), DJ’d by the Chaos Twins at a New Cross launch, Luton FC (courtesy of Transmission Radio) - and over the sound system of a Belgravian Palace! 

The week after their USA shows at SXSW (one venue said they were the best thing all week), it was MOSES who were the "goal horn" tune every time that the Texas Stars Ice Hockey Team scored a goal!

So imagine if people heard MOSES in public, more!

A day before January's Croydon show, one conversation with Presenter/Broadcaster, Louise Schofield, was about exactly this - imagining people getting to hear MOSES from Indie DJs. (Lou and MOSES lead singer, Victor, presented 'Chat The Great' interviews together in lockdown then in 2022, 'Mad Abour My Dreams' was her directing debut - and such a day of joy in Shoreditch)

More MOSES in public as well as getting seen where they are invited to play.

The band always want to get back on a stage. 

Every show is an experience. 

In April 2026, MOSES headlined The Lexington in Islington. It was Anthems All Areas, as ever. Glorious.

A  brand new song was premiered to loud cheers alongside the joy of three albums  worth of "greatest-hits-sounding" songs, exactly six years since their debut long player, 'Almost Everything Is Bullshit'.

The special guests, Undici, were a band discovered on the same night in January as the above mentioned conversation with Louise. She was the host of The Bands Come Out To Play and they were one of six finalists. Their grand sound was appreciated and fan winning at The Lexington.

There was new faces in catching the headliners live for the first time (the lovely lady in the exotic hat said that if they don’t make it, she’d eat her hat!). MOSES fans had travelled from around the UK - and from more than one part of Europe - for the energy burst on stage.

Playhuman were there to film the evening for posterity. There were many creatives and fellow artists in the crowd so new networks were made and new futures will bloom.

MOSES have mostly been writing, rehearsing, demoing and recording new material for a fourth album. The response to the above mentioned brand new tune, aired at The Lexington, was most encouraging. 

The band will return to the studio in Autumn then they start 2027 with a headline show at trendy East End venue, Signature Brew in Haggerston. They remain acclaimed as one of the best live bands.
